Yes evander does live to box, but at some point he has to call it quits whether he likes it or not, and why not do it while he still has most of his health in tact. Great athletes always find it hard to quit, except in most other sports they don't endanger their health by stickin around 1 to many games...where as in boxing they risk their health in their primes, let alone at age 43.
I think in other sports and also in lighter weight classes getting old is a problem as the younger guys are faster , and stronger, and its more exaggerated, meaning that it shows up more, however in the Heavyweight Division, its not such a factor and might actually be beneficial this day and age. . The Heavyweight Division is green, Evander has more experience and is a real fighter. . Fighters in this division aside from the Russians have very little amateur experience and after 30 boxing matches still don’t know how to box well.. Evander is conditioned young, he in better shape then most 25 years old Heavyweights. He has a few years left, now that his shoulder is healed up. He should have the opportunity to fight on .Originally Posted by armin
Hi!
Sam is no "bum" he is a contender. Very good really; tough, can throw combination and knock out punch. I will bet on on Sam. Remember I said that I would never write again in this forum if Maskaev did not win. I did that because of his win over Sam. You see Sam went the distance with Maskaev and had him him work hard, so he is at least as good as Rahman. Holyfield is thus fighting someone with the skill of the top fighters (Maskaev we know). A too big risk at this point. Sam will end him.

Yes well I wanted to play it high stakes; either I know what Im talking about and Maskaev wins or I shut up. (Unlike that Belfort character.)Originally Posted by bilbo
