    I agree.

Thats why i mentioned he needs to improve and hopefully within the next two years he gets a shot.

Even though he might not be there yet i would rather see a wild dangerous wilder for 3 rounds than another jean marc mormeck or tony thompson 3.

Wlad is the top dog and it is ridiculous to say he is not the best just because he does not fight his brother. That fight should not happen anyway that would be sick.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Like others have pointed out, until hes undisputed he is no where near.

Who has had the most successfull undisputed title defences? That would be more truthfull. To be able to hold on to the titles and defend them is a major feat given the schedule youd have to fight to sort your mandatories etc.

In fact, Holmes never held more than one title even though they were all abailable to him, so he shouldnt be credited with his reign either. Fighting only one organisations ranked fighters isnt the same as having to fight everyone to hold on to your titles. The first time he fought for all 3 was when he was knocked out by Tyson.

    Any day now.......

Larry will go on record saying that Wladimir Klitschko couldn't carry his jock.
Then he'll go on to say the Klitschko's only get all the attention because they're white.

Gotta give credit where credit is due.

Wlad is now easily within the top 7 and arguably top 5 all time.

Wlad has never even been undisputed and until he beats his brother or his brother retires, he cant be regarded as the undisputed best of this era.

It would be better for Wlads career if Vitali just retired and let Fury, Pulev, Haye etc fight for the vacant title and then try and win that title. That would be the cherry on top for his career.

As it is, he's just been one of the belt holders, he's never been the only belt holder.

Mike Tyson gets shit but he managed to unify all the titles and keep them together for 6 successfull defences, he lost them in the 7th.

The thing is, vitali might have more fights left in him and might not want to retire just yet.

    When was Holmes ever undisputed?

They aren't going to fight and I agree that Vitali should just retire ... then Wlad would get a chance to become undisputed.

This is what iv just been saying.....

Holmes hasnt been the undisputed best. Tyson is the only fighter to have to have as many as 6 successfull defences of all the belts since Ali.

Wlad deserves his credit. Shit he's been undefeated for 8 years in a division where 1 punch can change everything with a chin made of rice paper. In fairness Marciano gets an awful lot of credit for dominating a much weaker era. I cant think of one fighter on his docket that he fought in their prime other than LaStarza.

True, but hell who was there for him to fight? Rex Layne wasn't horrible, a 9-5 favorite to beat The Rock when they fought.

Clever. I suppose Wlad could tell all these guys how to beat him. Ftr when he fights toe stubber, no thanks Povetkin it will mark the first time I have actually cheered for the man.

    Love the glove mics

To each their own, I think Wlad is class. He's a class boxer and he's a class person. He had some major struggles in his career and any other fighter would have given up, but he's overcome some adversity and he's done quite well.

I think he should open up a bit more, but the key for him is to feel comfortable in the ring, dictate the action of the fight and for some people they hate that, they want wild and reckless abandon....but it's actually very rare for a GOOD (much less great) heavyweight to fight that way.

I agree. I've kinda come around on the guy of late and think he has been handed a raw deal by people myself included. You don't stay undefeated for 8 years and surpass Holmes by being pedestrian and its more then his size.
