I know Lucia, extremely well, I even trained in the same gym as her back in the days when she was a Thaiboxer.

Lucia is surely the best female fighter in the world (even if I should say "was" now, due to her inactivity and injuries).

Back in the days I was training in the same gym, she was incredible, you have no idea on how hard she can punch (with fists and kicks) it's simply incredible. I met the famous kickboxer Valerie Henin and she told me the same, Lucia is phenomenal.

When she started in thaiboxing (kickboxing, full contact), she outclassed her opponents with her style and her power, after 2 years every female fighters was scared of her. she took the best, sometimes adapting to the style of her opponents, and she won everything.

apart from that Lucia wanted more challenges, she took opponents in other division, and finally she wanted to fight a man.

She fought a Thai boxer, I mean, not a man who was a Budweiser drinker, a real fighter, a Thaiboxer. But the fight ended with Lucia being ko'ed. she can beat men for sure, but not contender/champ man material.

Although she's a fighter, the rare occasions I was able to speak with her she was a really really gentle girl. all she wanted was to fight and to have recognition as a real fighter.

a fight against Martin ? even at martin's peak, this fight would have been a butchery for Martin, by no way she has the tool to resit.

Against Laila Ali ? => c'mon, laila should have been taking more serious opponents since a while, Laila is very strong and she is a true athletes, but I think she could not compete with the power and rage of Lucia. But I agree that the weight difference will be too much.

I only wonder what happened to Lucia some years ago, I rad in the newspaper that she had personal problems.

but yeah, Lucia was the Tyson of the female division.
