Besides the cut, I think chavez realized that he needed to be in better shape for this fight so he pulled out.
It wasn't long ago when there were reports of him being near 200lbs so I kinda wondered how he would even manage to get into fighting shape in short time. I kinda expected this so I'm not surprised.
A tough fighter with no boxing skills is tailor made for Chavez though so I don't make anything out of this delay. Vera is a gatekeeper and he's going to make chavez look good.
Vera sucks. War Chavez!!
