Garcia is more marketable imo and I think GBP would rather see him win.
Anybody see a decision victory for Garcia?

The winner! Loser goes to showtime.![]()
Yea I'd say Garcia is more likely to win on points then Matthysse but I think Matthysse will stop him. I like watching both fight and don't care who wins once they continue to get televised fights.
What's it have to do with HBO?
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
No one. They're fighting on Showtime.
Is HBO planning on picking up the winner or did the poster just make an error.
He probably meant Showtime.

Somehow, I like Mathysse chances on that one; which network doesn't like a charismatic guy with tons of firepower in both hands?
Hidden Content
That's the way it is, not the way it ends
woops I meant GBP, not HBO.. I may not fully understand Spanish but Mattysse never struck me as a charismatic guy. Infact he's hella wooden like Miguel Cotto and Keanu Reeves.
Not saying that Garcia is any more charismatic since he can't even speak for himself but he does have Puerto Rican / American fan base which makes him more marketable.
I dont know how big boxing is in Argentina but I doubt it's bigger than it is to the Puerto Ricans. Guys like Sergio Martinez and Narvaez can't even sell tickets in the States like the Rican fighters.
Garcia is better for business. And having his ultra charismatic father lol next to him is huge for promotion.
It depends one what you're trying to market. Lucas is a humble guy that always comes to fight, took questionable decisions losses in stride. Has good power and is always dangerous.
Garcia has good power and tries to be humble despite having to stand next to his dad..danny is building off momentum over chinny khan, a war worn bloated morales and an old zab Judah. Each of those guys had their moments in those fights too.
They're at different places in the spectrum. Do put your money on humble hard banger that doesn't speak English and try to make him the next giant killing Sergio Martinez? And fear him getting old overnight?
Or nurse young Garcia and feed him the same kind of opposition he's been beating and just keep the cameras rolling on the circus his father is for as long as it lasts?
If golden boy wants to turn this into a round about like the ufc where good fights are made and losses are short memories, it's important to realize that in the UFC all of the fighters are being promoted by the same company. Garcia fits the bill of the flashy, mug for camera pop culture conformist right now. Blame Floyd for that.. Hahah just kidding.
Garcia for sure. Much more marketable in the long run.
Yeah, it seems Garcia is pretty much more marketable but I think this fight is going to decide for itself who gets the "golden ticket." Realistically the 2 outcomes are probably Matthysse by stoppage or Garcia by decision. Garcia is capable of stoppages as well but I'm sure he'll be the more cautious/boxing guy and I doubt Matthysse cares about a decision anymore these days so he'll probably go balls to the wall.
I'd guess Garcia as well, just because he's much younger and has the potential American/Puerto Rican fanbase. To be perfectly honest for some reason I thought he was Mexican-American until just checking, kinda looks more like it and so does his waste of space father.
If they see him as a potential star I'm not sure this fight would've been made thoughAlthough I do give him a chance to win I see Matthyse being much better all around. Garcia throws shorter and has the edge in one punch power, and he can counter big, but Lucas isn't exactly chinny and he's a lot more cerebral in there overall.
This should actually be a delicious fight now that I'm thinking about it, almost no way it won't deliver barring an injury or some BS.
GBP will try and convince us the winner should fight Floyd even though both are way too small and the loser joins the merry go round Peterson, Judah, Morales etc
