I think he's a tough out for anyone. Extremely skilled. I think he's a little shy on confidence though and is unsure about taking the plunge.

I cant believe he's been in the game for almost 10 years now. He's been fighting since 04 yet Carson Jones is the best opponent on his resume.

Brook is supposed to be a veteran but he's still fighting at the contender level.. Something isnt right.

a lot of love for brook in this thread

not too long ago on this very forum I was having a very nice chat with someone about brooks credentials, probably only a couple of fights ago

it was specifically about how berto v brook would turn out

obviously the person I was debating with was suggesting that Berto would run away with it, brook would be stopped fairly easily

looks a bit daft that now doesnt it

the first carston jones fight was Brooks worst performance by a long way

in the second jones wasn't anywhere near him, yeah he had a good couple of rounds but still came nowhere near winning any round and was looking very unsteady from early on

Brook doesn't deserve any excuses, but it is well known that Brook didn't train properly or follow a correct diet plan prior to the 1st Jones fight. He was well overweight a week before the fight. It's probably done him a favour, because that was a close call and a wake up call and it won't happen again!

I wanna see Brook vs Khan

I reckon Berton would still smoke him. He lost to Karas Soto but was fighting with one arm for most of the fight. Berto has speed and power. Brook hasnt fought anyonne of Bertos level and Senchenko isnt really a step up.

Precisely. Id pick Berto as well. People keep shitting on this guy but he knows how to dig deep and has proved himself in seesaw battles. ORtiz fight could have easily gone his way and he took Guerrero to hell and back with one eye closed. And as you mentioned, he fought Karass neck and neck with one arm so we definitely know what he's capable of under adversity.

It wasn't long ago when Berto was the pampered fighter with a padded record and I can't believe he's been through so much in short period of time..

Brook is in that position now. He needs to show that he can hold his own even in a grueling fight against an elite opposition and until he does that, there's no reason why anybody should pick him over a proven warrior like Berto.

This sechenko fight is fuckin weak. He's actually taking a step back from Jones' level..

I agree the senchenko fight was abit of let down but how is this a step down from Jones. Jones is shocking, he had the fight of his life in his first fight with brook but was exposed easily in the second fight.

Kell does need to prove himself though.

Does anyone know why he changed his ring name to Special K rather than the special one??

Yes he changed his name from the special one to - Special K because he fights more like a packet of cereal , than a blessed fighter.
