Bilbo? what dont you understand about this:

Oleg Maskaev has a lovely family; it is decidedly "American."

Dont you get his "lovely family is decidedly Amarican"? Which therefore makes him an American 100%. I really dont understand why you have to dwell on the fact that he wasnt born in the USA and has a "russian" accent. You must know that people born in the USA dont care about that! Just ask the local mexican farm worker running from the immigration cops! He'll explain to you that we love all people living here that were born else where.

Although it will anger some herein, I have a PhD and was a psychology student when the AMA reversed their decision on homosexuals. This was accomplished by pressure of social activists and not concluded by a scientific or scholarly approach. I do not condemn individuals who engage it that dangerous and degrading lifestyle, but mention Dildo's admittance (not that sexuality is cogent in a boxing forum anyway) to delineate his prissy and name-calling rhetoric to denigrate me and/or Oleg Maskaev, a very masculie, soft-spoken work-a-day professional living the American dream on Staten Island. As far as "..it used to be but not anymore..." guess what? It still is. This may prompt other homosexuals to exercise their right, but I wonder how i cogent it is on a boxing forum. I come to this site to learn, Dildo comes for frantically-needed attention. The thread was "...save the HW division!!!" Manners, mutual respect, professionalism and tenacity will "save" it, not a particular ethnic group or fighter from a certain country.
You really know you have lost a debate when you have to resort to name calling and making claims that your opponent is gay.

You have proven yourself to be incapable of intelligent thought and rational debate, you are clearly in the wrong and nobody apart from you sees Maskaev as the next great American champion.

I'm done wasting time with you.

I think if he can keep boxing like he did against Brewster he stands a good chance against any of the current heavies. Wlad would pose the most problems for him. Wlad has the best boxing ability of the heavies and the power he brings with him would make for a troubled fight. Wlad/Lyakhovich would be one heavyweight fight I would be interested in.
Agreed. Good points...but I just truly believe that with range...Klitschko controls them all around the board.
Just because he has the most skills doesn't mean he is gonna be the master of all Heavyweights. Wacko wake up! He is carefully and wisely picking his opponents. And they will hype it as a huge fight. He could have fought Brewster a second time but he chose to fight Byrd instead and Lyakovich had a good strategy to beat Brewster and he used it very well but it was still a very close fight. And It wasn't because he didnt "get up" for Ettienne, have you seen that fight? Brewster injured his knee in the first round!! And he could barely walk the rest of the fight let alone plant and Ettienne took advantage of it, WHY do you thnk he wears that knee brace in the ring!? The shufford fight was a fact of Brewster coming down from a very high weight because he had two fights in a row about a month apart to come down and he was drained.

And no matter what you say whether you call it luck or whatever, he BEAT WLADIMER KLITSCHKO!! No matter what you say!! Brewster WON THE FIGHT!! And Wladimer never tried to rematch him!

Sergei is just a lot better then you wanted to give him credit for, but lowering the opponent of Brewster because you refuse top acknowledge how good he is won't change his win over Wladimer
Wladimer is point blank the best out there at the moment. He may have a glass chin and hold constantly but there hasn't been anything the guy he was fighting could do about it. Maybe if there was a different ref. Wladimer has the most skill and whether you like it or not, someone isn't gonna come out of the blue with blond dreads and beat him.

All of you are wrong. The Savior of the damn heavyweight division is me, undefeated Heavyweight Kevin Johnson of Asbury Park, NJ...........the new baddest man on the planet............ All of these guys that you mentioned have turned me down for fights even though I am only 10-0.................smart choice on their part becasue everyone knows that I am the next dominant heavyweight to come on the scene............gentlemen........you can call me the messiah I am here to rule.........

I agree among the current heavyweight fighters, although one, or possibly two, may develop. Surely there was a debate in this forum about the Brewster fight; I just came on boad last June, but I have heard some persuasive arguments regarding possible drugging. Klitschko looked very strange just before that knockdown; he has been hit that hard before. He and his brother, and other credible boxing people, have raised pointed questions.

How did Johnson Timor go? It was a four rounder in which I one every round but of course since his promoter was running the card, of course they called it a draw.........what a joke. I've been begging him for a rematch but he does want any of me anymore..........

I wouldn't waste my time with Timor since his lackluster showing vs Brock. Why not go for Malik Scott, Jameel McCline, Ray Austin, Larry Donald, or someone like that.
