Donaire should take but he is going to be like Khan, just a fight or two away from obscurity.

@walrus - the fight that should happen is Donaire against John in Macau in 2014 at featherweight. But, John will continue fighting Thai cab drivers and retire into the Indonesian countryside.
Probably a fun fight, but unless Donaire has really lost the plot we know what happens. It's more or less a stay busy fight for him unless Darchinyan has really gone under the radar for a few years, I think the last I saw him was against Moreno. Is this at featherweight as well? That'd be even worse, I know Donaire said he was moving up.

I've actually come to like Vic as he's calmed down and become humble, but I can't help but feel this a cheap way back for Donaire and trying to recapture the push andfactor from where it all began, at featherweight now. Darchinyan was being caught clean and wobbled by a Javier Callo last time out.

Darchinyan is what 3 weight classes above his best? Terrible fight. He couldn't beat any of the top bantamweights. How is he gonna a beat one of the top Super Bantamweight? He's not. The only reason this fight is happening is cuz he beat Luis Del Valle. But that doesn't prove Vic is back. It just proves what many already knew. Del Valle was overrated garbage who couldn't handle an old, smaller fighter. I see this rematch ending even quicker than the first fight

if anyone wanted to use Darchinyan as a bounce back fight and it'd well make sense it'd be Mares, but it's a little to late for Donaire to be giving him the rematch, pointless really

I dont like Donaire but cut the guy some slack. How many fighters in history after a shit kicking come back to fight a guy this dangerous as a comeback fight? Same with Manny coming back after being ko'd against Rios. That is what brass is. The very thing we hang our hats on. Both men could have taken walks in this coddled market. Give them credit. Two guys that just happen to be from the same country that represent this phantom "p4p" many throw about. Neither is milking the comeback.
