That's the way it is, not the way it ends
It is going to happen, the US will intervene. I expect, in the next few days or weeks, that there will be more and more 'proof' of horrific crimes committed under Assad's orders. Wouldn't it be a real hoot if, somehow, some way, Syria managed to blow something up in the US by the end of September, or fired on a US ship or some other such thing...Just out of the blue?
Yeah or maybe just out of the red white and blue!
Easy a simple bungled assignation attempt on some one deemed special and then set up some innocent middle eastern family bloke from some poor area ,recently deceased from avoiding capture, type of militant terrorist sort of bloke and we can be posting missiles down his relatives chimney by the next day.
The only precedent that should be set is that it is a middle east issue and should be solved by the nations in that region. Or only red line should be when a nation's actions are a threat to US lives or national security. We need to stop being the world police. We aren't that good at it and its a thankless job.Still, if we let a country use chemicals against its own people it sets a bad precedent

Did the Obama or Bush administrations ever care about human rights abuses by their allies?
And there is no evidence that the Assad government was responsible for the chemical attack. This has nothing to do with human rights - they just want an excuse to get rid of Assad to further destabilize and weaken Syria.
