    Default opponent for Williams

I think Margarito would destroy williams similar to what happend to Cintron. I think Williams vs Chavez jr would be more competative and more exciting.

Cintron can't box nearly as consistently as Williams can.

Maybe but williams allows more punches to come in. So with that being said margarito's power would stop williams maybe even sooner than he did with Cintron.

I say let the young man go for it...Williams is quick he has good accuracy and he has the workrate to give ANYONE at 147 all they can handle

Is it true Williams is ranked number 1 in all 4 major organisations? If so then this kids handlers have done an exceptional job. 25 years old 31-0 and ranked #1 nice...

williams is 10x the fighter that cintron is

and youre forgetting that margarito leaves himself just as open as williams, this is one of many BETTER options that margarito has as an alternative to clottey (whos another solid prospect in my book)

I'd like to see him fight Cintron,I want to gauge how good he is,the Shrmba fight,as impressive as it was, showed me nothing,if he is that open and Cintron lands those bombs,it could be all over. Would be a good fight for Tony, but I think Margarito's experience would show out. Clottey is a good fight for now, then maybe Williams or Collazo then Toy will have beaten some WW monsters and should call out everyone, then we shall see who is ducking!

JC Jr. has 0 amateur experience he will need 30 fights to be ready to go against top contenders. And compared to his dad TONS of fighters suck

He's the mandatory for Margarito so after the Clottey fight, Margarito should take it. Has he really earned it, I don't know, for a guy with 30 fights he's been matched pretty soft, but its not a bad fight and he does look somewhat promising.

But I do have a feeling that, because there's such a backlash against Margarito from the PBF fans, that if Margarito took the fight and then beat Williams, some people who've talked up Williams would pull a 360 and talk about how untested he was, and what a garbage fighter he was.

Quintana would outbox him IMO. To me, he's the best prospect at 147.

Chavez jr probably isn't ready to be Williams' sparring partner.

He needs to take his time since he didn't have an amateur career, he does seem to be improving a bit though.

CC excellent points and reminds me of the Cintron scenario, but there would not be much of a backlash here(apart from maybe JT ROCK and FrozenSolid~ ),we all see Williams is dangerous. I think Williams should take 1 or 2 more fights before Tony, maybe a Cintron fight or Collazo,I want to see him against a strong WW. Actually just saw Floyd transcript on boxingtalk saying that even if Tony beats Williams or vise versa, would prove nothing. That is a joke! Williams is correct,I don't think lil Floyd wants any part of these big boys at WW
