I'm not saying he was a great fighter, I'm just saying he did one thing REALLY well.
Being a great fighter doesn't mean you're automatically the best at everything. David Tua had a better left hook than Ali. Doesn't mean he's a better fighter, just means he could crank that left hook like a battering ram.
Very entertaining and fun to watch but also a cheater having used performance enhancing drugs to have an edge over his opponent. How good would that left hook be if it didn't have that little extra oomph behind it?
Tony Galento is the only missing name here I can think of regarding bone-crunching left hooks.

He admitted it as far as I know, so it's not even speculation.
Which further goes to show how much of a joke drug testing is/was in boxing. Guys don't get caught by drug tests, they get caught when the FBI raids a pharmacy and finds their names on reciepts for steroids, or when they just plain come out and admit it like Tommy did.

Hmm, didn't know that. Yeah the testing is a joke, Mosley didn't test positive, Holyfield never tested positive but got caught buying a load over the Internet of something. There'll be a stack load more that never failed a test but used. That's why I don't buy the "never tested positive, must be clean" argument. They aren't going to get caught if the testing isn't good enough.
