do you love or hate the contender series? if so why?

A bit of both, I love the idea of the show, But I hate the way they do it.. I don't wanna see all that crap before the fight to do with the guys family or hear how big his ego is and how he's gonna kill the other guy. From my personal veiw I wanna see more of the training and sparring, maybe a small bit about how each fighter has got on in training in the week. I suppose they have to add the other stuff so that it more appealing to the general public but drives me mad. I hate also as your watching the fight the camera keeps flicking to people at ringside, I don't wanna see or hear the guys wife screaming I wanna see the fight!..It could be improved in a lot of ways in my view, in one sentence.. It's a brilliant concept for a show, but needs more actual boxing in it.

I dont like 'reality' tv shows much. Boring and the tv guys just edit it to fit their fan base.
I would pick 'contenders' over 'american idol' eveyday of the week. But I dont watch either really.

Makes you wonder what reality show will be next. I have a feeling Bilbo is going to be pissed when 'She-males trying to become NASCAR heros' becomes the latest hit.

I think it's brilliant. Remember this is a show aimed at the mainstream public as well as the boxing hardcore so it's entirely right and appropriate that they film it the way that they do.

We have HBO and Showtime to do the serious boxing stuff and being on the internet we can download practically every fight ever filmed so I don't think it matters that these fights are edited. It's a tv show first and foremost.

They do it well.

Not to get you started, but there is some sort of MMA/Pride/K1 (whatever name they use) show on now. Never watched that one, but Ive seen the promos or was fliping through channels and caught a second of it. You will be watching that reality show wont you?

I think it's safe to assume that I won't be watching that one.

Sounds good but I've got grass to grow and will be preoccupied watching that on the days that this show will be on. Shame though, wouldn't have missed it else.

Perhaps you can get 'nanny cam' so you can keep an eye on your grass while your watching the reality MMA show? Just an idea.

With all the damn reality shows they have , why the f*** hasnt one been made for porno stars? Id love to see the daily life of Jenna Jameson or some other porn chick.

Anyway, I agree they need to cut out on the wife crap, and it seems like every guy says something like..."F*** you man! I aint gonna lose this fight and go back to the ghetto" and then they show the guy talking to his kids an so on. yawn!

Actually a porn idol audition show would be great. You could have losers like Leah from Big Brother and other skanky hoes auditioning and a panel of judges to replace Sharon Osbourne, Simon Cowell etc.

The panel judges could be Paris Hilton, Peter Stringfellow and Ben Dover.

It would be hilarious, each week sees a different theme, Blowjobs/Facial, Anal, Squirting etc.

The judges score each round and every Saturday night the viewers get to vote one off.

I can't think of a better format for a show :P
