    1. Were yet to see how he performs against Alvarez.
    2. Good point @erics44 the Ortiz fight had massive potential to be a banana skin and Mayweather has his quick thinking to be grateful of for keeping him safe.
    3. I think the Corrales fight proved that Mayweather belongs at the top. Any subsequent fights are a prolonged continuation of that single moment.
    4. Having said that, personally for me the fights in which he had been hurt or rocked (Corley, Judah, Mosley... Possibly Augustus) defines him as a fighter.

i think his best run was de la hoya, hatton, marquez

he had some great wins before but considering move up in weight and then the dominance against hatton and marquez of 2 extremely good fighters

i dont think since he has fought that quality of fighter, cotto perhaps but cotto was definately not at his peak

i think this alverez fight is back to that kind of quality

and i think this would be his best win

Ricky Hatton.... even though Hatton was the underdog, they expected him to pull off a shocker. He dominated Hatton from start to finish... clearly his most clear win in his entire career.

For Hatton to be dominated like that was nothing short of amazing.

The Hatton fight was marred by joe cortez who reffed that fight like a man with an agenda...

I was always neutral on Hatton. I didn't dislike him, I wasn't a serious fan either, but Hatton was fighting two guys in there.

Floyd deserves credit for taking that fight though because Hatton is one of the very few top guys in their prime that Floyd decided to fight. At the time, Hatton was The Man at 140.

Indeed. Hatton was in his prime, as was Corrales.

I hate how he waited for Cotto and will apparently duck Manny.
