Don't be ridiculous Povetkin doesn't stand a chance and this fight has been held up by him for years
Don't be ridiculous Povetkin doesn't stand a chance and this fight has been held up by him for years
Povetkin is going to get beaten just as badly.
That's hardly fair to say, Wlad makes Mayweather look like Mike Tyson as far as offensive output, he is far more cautious and timid. He stops everyone because he is bigger, hits really hard, and all of his opponents suck. It's not because he pushes for the KO or takes big risks, anything but. If Wlad ever fought anyone as good as Canelo he would lose, never mind settle for a UD.
wouldnt it be nice of provetkin could actually do something in the fight
theres no chance tho, he doesnt his hard enough even if he gets any success
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
That alone is hardly fair to say as you put it, because Haye was hyped up to be the rebirth of Mike Tyson, just as Canelo has been hyped up to be more of a JCC Jr than well the actual JCC Jr, Wlad has beaten up EVERYONE presented to him, he's beaten EVERY top 10 fighter and well done it with ease, he's not the one making the rankings, he can't help if he's far superior against everyone else, and fact of the matter is he breaks every one of his opponents down, even the ones not smaller than him for example the not so small Tony Thompson who sparked the hype job that was David Price, twice
and also on that same note lets not use side advantages as a factor while trying to build up Canelo and break down Wlad, because a perfect example of a man who knows how to use his size and well one who can't do a thing with it when it really counts
Welterweights are ALWAYS "better" than HW's, is the thing. Of course Wlad beats everyone and that's all he can do, but he is still very cautious, much moreso than Floyd is. On the size thing it goes both ways since Wlad will likely never meet a good fighter bigger than him, there is nobody he could fight who presents the same challenges that Alvarez does to a welterweight.
you don't mean BETTER, you mean MORE ENTERTAINING, big difference, Wlad always uses his height and reach to maximize his advantage, Canelo had size and weight on Floyd and never was able to impose himself even when he had him on the ropes, both Klitschko's get ragged on way too much, especially Wlad, when both guys always fight what's available and don't do any cherry picking, not their fault that other fighters choose not to step up or that the division is crap, as stated before, Povetkin avoided a fight with Wlad as long as he could, now he's apparently gonna cash it in and take his loss
There will be a decent undercard.
- Masternak-Drozd is an excellent matchup of top ten cruiserweights.
- Chagaev-Pular is a semi-final WBA eliminator, the winner will face Luis Ortiz to be the next WBA mandatory. Pudar is a good test to see if Chagaev is able to make a final run.
- Chakhkiev-Ilie is a very good comeback fight for Rakhim, after his tough loss to Wlodarczyk
- Chudinov-Avendano: a 30-9, 22 KO opponent is a good test for the 7-0 Chudinov.
It would be nice if they added one more HW fight to the undercard, but it's very good as it is.
Wlad and Mayweather are great fighters it's irresponsible and idiotic to belittle one at the expense of the other. And as for your post, that's bush league "Far more cautious and timid" eat a dick you "It's not because he pushes for the KO" oh he doesn't does he but he has how many KO's? Fuck off with your critiques you know fuck all....fuck all sir. Dumb cunt
Wow Lyle, going for irony there? I know you're a big fan, but I didn't post anything that should have struck such a nerve. Wlad fights more cautiously than Floyd, do you actually disagree with that? Most good KO punchers don't push for the KO, it just happens because they throw great shots at the right time, I wasn't insulting the guy in saying that. Obviously you have some disturbing lust for the man, so I'll just ignore your posts on the matter. Thanks.
If I do eat a dick I'll make sure it looks like Wlads so I can film it and sell you the tape though![]()
No I just get sick of the typical bullshit people believe they can pass off as "fact" about Wlad as he fights right now.
"Wlad fights more cautiously than Floyd, do you actually disagree with that?" Yes I disagree with that. When was the last time we saw Wladimir get on his bike and avoid someone for an entire round? He simply doesn't do it. He does tie up as a strategy but it's a strategy it's not because he's "afraid to get punched" or is "timid"...where the fuck do you get off calling a guy who has KO'd 81% of the people he's beaten "timid"
"Wlad makes Mayweather look like Mike Tyson as far as offensive output" ...for a heavyweight Wladimir punches a right good amount, to not recognize that is ridiculous. Also comparing a guy who is a counter puncher with a guy who takes the fight to his opponent is mind bogglingly stupid thanks for bringing it up. Even if they were the same exact weight they would still be miles apart in the kind of fighters they are, as much as Wlad couldn't fight like Floyd, Floyd sure as fuck couldn't fight like Wlad.
"He stops everyone because he is bigger, hits really hard, and all of his opponents suck"
This quote right here is what irked me the most. you have zero clue about boxing if that is how you really feel. "Oh he's just bigger", "oh his opponents suck" that's typical ignorant talk from some idiot who sits back and WATCHES boxing and has never actually done it. If you don't see the skill wladimir has or the skill his opponents have (and yes they DO have skill) then plain and simple you're a "hater"
If I was to say ANYTHING remotely close to this about Floyd I'd never hear the end of it. I don't because I respect the skill Floyd has, it's undeniable he's been at the game for so long and done so well...but then you look at Wlad, he's put in his years, he's placed himself on top of the division when at times it looked like he was completely done for and he still gets no respect from a moron like you. Yeah you complain to me like I did you wrong by calling you out on your bullshit but your post was ignorant and you deserved what you got.
"I didn't post anything that should have struck such a nerve" you called the 2nd longest reigning heavyweight champion of all time "cautious" and "timid" and suggested the only reason he's champion is due to his size and that his competition sucked....yeah why should anyone take offense to that?
Yup. We all saw what happens to Wlad when he fights "live" guys- Sanders (when Sanders was priming); Brewster (when Brewster had the punch output of a Middleweight); and Sam Peter (who, even though Wlad beat him both times, had a crazy work rate for a Heavyweight before he got lazier and lazier as the years progressed).
Povetkin is not a high punch output kinda guy. No one in the division, except for Arreola (who really could use some power power and keep up his training regimen in Arizona) AND Bryant Jennings throws the amount of punches in bunches that would cause Wlad problems.
I know we always hear about Deontay Wilder, but sadly we haven't seen much of his boxing skills because he's been sparking everyone. What if Wilder has a weak chin? What if Wilder can't last in a tough 10 rounds? What if he is the type that tires by the 6th and is easy pickings for someone who can throw combinations with effectiveness?
At least we know Arreola and Jennings (especially Jennings, who apparently can fight 20 rounds at the same pace I feel) can last a tough 12 rounder- and in some instances, pick up steam. Wilder hasn't shown us that yet.
So, yes- Wlad by a beatdown on Povetkin. Povetkin may quit on his stool like Ruslan Chagaev did. But by between the 8th and 10th rounds we will be able to see what's up with Povetkin.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Brewster had the punch output of a middleweight.....No WLAD was the one throwing the punches in that fight not Brewster until about the 4th round. Also guys have tried and tried and tried to repeat what Sanders, Brewster, and Purrity did vs Wladimir and they couldn't not because they sucked as fighters but because Wlad learned and adapted.
What are you on about "When Sanders was "priming" "....Sanders was a shot fighter when Wlad fought him, Wlad looked past him and paid the price. Sanders certainly wasn't "in his prime" he was at the tail end of his career, r.i.p.
Povetkin will be done by 6, he's not strong enough and too easy to hit.
