Money! Floyd doesn't give a shit about titles and has no problem vacating them. However the organisations do because they want a cut of the money he attracts.

What's wrong with his opposition? He's fighting champions nearly every time out.

He went up in weight and fought the undisputed champ of the division, who is young and has about 20lbs on him. And he dominated him. If you're hand-picking younger, bigger champions, what's the problem with hand picking opponents?

Any fighter is "allowed" to, its just very few have the luxury of making money at the same time. Like SilkeyJoe said, the alphabet bodies wouldn't dream of stripping him when he is the highest earner in the sport, anyone he fights will guarantee more money for them than they'd get with anyone else holding their belt. What are some cases of mandatory challengers that he wouldn't fight anyways

I've always considered a guy who did nothing but face mandatories was already hand picking his opponents.

finally, we have a fighter who is so well known, so talented and so dominating that he is bigger than, and has more credibility that the 'Alphabet Boys' who have presided over the division and decline of our great sport.

The general public know that Mayweather is 'the man', no matter what the crooked, grasping and venal so-called governing bodies say.

Brilliant and long may it continue.

Floyd has fought the best fighters around, with one notable exception. Free market economies state he can only continue to pick fights that the public will pay to see. The public are not stupid, so they will only pay for him to fight top class fighters.

This is how boxing used to be!
