They both got floored by a cruiserweight, they both looked shite in those respective fights: Haye punching himself out and Fury having to use illegal tactics to floor the older, smaller man.
I don't know that you can take much from either fight. The difference being that Thompson wasn't Haye's last fight, Cunningham was Fury's most recent fight, he has a way to go yet.
Also Ross, to help you look less stupid - wilder is a sparring partner in Haye's camp... This doesn't make him fight ready in several regards.
a) wilder has been fighting against a mobile, small heavy... What tactics will he have sharpened that would be relative to fighting a lanky fighter exactly?
b) being a sparring partner doesn't make you ring fit, if Haye spars 8 rounds then Wilder would likely end up doing 2 rounds (probably not in a row). Sparring partners are there to be mixed and matched to suit the session's goals. You've seriously never heard of a round robin?!?
c) wilder won't be pushing himself hard enough to be at peak conditioning in strength and condition sessions - his job is to be fresh enough to challenge david Haye in sparring, not fatigue himself getting fit.
You really need to have a bit more knowledge before saying things like 'wilder fought six weeks ago and has been sparring for four, he is fight fit'
and as had been said - this event was set up as PPV, Wilder is up and coming and fury isn't good enough to carry a PPV event by himself (only you and his uncles/cousins would pay)

So no response to Wider being 100% fit to fight ?, well at least team fury can talk big about something else.
Also no evidence of Wilder or his team ever calling fury crap in the press either.
It looks Adam like we are correct , the lack of response speaks for itself.
Seems like only a few of us deal in facts.

You lot make me laugh!
Its like a little knitting circle, book club or grannies having afternoon tea. It looks like that doesnt it Adam![]()

But still no facts concerning Wilder?
Also you think that a sparring partner , who happens to be an unbeaten prospect , is as fighting fit as a guy who has trained for 12 weeks , why would Wilder step in if he isn't ready to fight ? that sums you up.
I am a boxing fan as are many here , you a blinkered fury fan , who never responds to posts that find holes in your point of view.
As for a knitting circle we are just boxing fans, the majority of us are here .
As for your logic let me try it -
Fury beat a guy with 3 losses in 4 , then he fought a light punching CW , then he signs to fight another blow up CW in David Haye , Haye then pulls out because of the fact fury is just to big.
Why doesn't fury fight a tall natural HW with world class power, is he afraid ?.
see its easy when you use your bullshit logic.
You stated when challenged about Wilder not being fight fit , " why does he take the fight anyway if fury is so crap "
I then asked based on you comment , where and when in the press did Wilder or his team , say fury is crap ?
Still waiting for your answer.
Fact,
