Default Taylor v.w. Ouma signed for Decmber 9th.

Taylor said he wanted an easy fight well I think he gets it here with a small jr middleweight. I think this is an easier fight than even Sergio Mora would have been.

I am saying an easy decision or an 8th round stoppage.

    What do others think.

Taylor won't stop Ouma the dude just soaks up punishment & shakes it off. This fight is better than Mora. Ouma would KO Mora or give him a beating.

Bad fight. Giant middleweight versus a small jr. middle. Doesn't make much sense?

Plus, I think Ouma just walks into JT's punches. It's just to much of a size descrepency.

I like the match up bro. People were talking about Ouma taking over the middleweight division once Hopkins moved on before his loss to Karmazin. I still think Taylor wins a decision but he'll know he's been in a fight cause Ouma won't stop trying.

Of course he won't. But for Ouma, there are more appetizing matchups out there. Spinks. MARGARITO. Forrest. Quartey.

I mean he is really small for the 154's. Just don't see him being able to withstand Taylor's punches while being able to land some of his own.

cc bro I'm agreeing with you, I would have preferred to see him in with Quartey or Spinks, hell even Vargas would be fun. Maybe the money's good or he really believes he has a chance. Look Baldomir is fighting Floyd & I don't think he'll win a round. I give Ouma a better chance Vs Taylor than I give Baldomir Vs Floyd. Gotta give him his props for stepping up to such a big challenge though.

A guy like Ouma, he wants this fight. Relentless fighter. And truth be told, to a certain degree I'm glad this fight is happening because he will finally be in the limelight. I just don't like it because, Ouma is there to hit. No one has had trouble hitting Ouma, it's just the fact that he comes from so many different angles, and he is so relentless that people have trouble controlling him. Now Jermain isn't any sort of ring general, but he is just so big that if Ouma would have to slip his punches and create openings for himself. Don't doubt that he'll land, but slipping Taylor's punches? Again, Taylor isn't the most overwhelming puncher but...Ouma is just there.

Why fight Kassim? He has heart but his defense is too leaky for Taylor, I believe in Ronnie Shields as a trainer but Ouma still has "prospect" weaknesses.

Make no mistake about it, this is an easy fight for Jermain. He likes beatin up on little Jr. Middleweights. He's a bitch like that. Ouma is more credible and proven than Mora though. But he's a small to medium sized 154 lber, who's a bit chinny and open to shots, and Jermain is a HUGE 160lber who no doubt starves himself to make weight and has pretty good power for his weightclass. I see a knockout/TKO for HBO and their little hypejob Taylor.

IMO this is wrong time for Ouma to fight JT anyways, combine this with the size difference and hes fooked! Taylor 8th round KO.

Because Jermain Taylor is HBO's new media darling and they will continue to put "names" on his record no matter how green or how shot they are, as long as they make sure he doesn't lose to them. They tried to do it with Mayweather but then he said "slave money" and they found someone else.

So now Jermain Taylor the "yessah master bald(dibella)" is their new Golden Boy, they had him defeat Hopkins was because Hopkins was everyone a champion should be "themself" and he didn't care what people thought as long as he won. And nowadays the powers that be don't like that. So what better then getting a Jermain Taylor that will say 'yes' to anything presented.

I think Ali said it best

Is there a link? Cause I don't see anything about it saying that its signed, only just that boxrec has it listed, but they're not always right.

ESPN said it on Friday Night Fights, Ouma must have been watching and released a statement, but if Ouma didn't even know about it until he saw that on Friday Night Fights then chances are it isn't happening.

I think this fight we will be better able to gauge where Taylor is at now. Either way I see a Taylor victory, but ouma could make him look bad. If Taylor does look bad then my opinion of him will go down.
