Of course the jury is still out, it's his first pro fight for fucks sake! Of course they picked an opponent who wasn't going to win, but who wouldn't fold the first time he got hit. D'uh.

I thought Joshua looked ok. He was quite different to his last few amateur bouts, especially physically .... He was a lot bigger and he had obviously been bulking up. I thought his legs were always too small when he was an amateur (both for proper punching and for absorbing a shot) but he'd obviously worked on them.

I thought he was a bit brunoesque ..... Muscle bound guy, whacked out some overmatched guy. He didn't have Bruno's amazing power, but he had much more boxing skill and patience.

Good start, good boxer, good power, good finisher - I'm interested in seeing his stamina and chin over his next twenty fights. It'll be fun to watch

He looked the goods. Yes he could turn out out to be the new David price or Bruno cuz he seems a little muscle bound as if he would gas after a few rounds. I'd prefer him to get a more athletic body type and loosen up but impressive debut. Fast hands, killer instinct and I'd be shocked if he went audleys way

Dont put Price in the same category as Bruno.

Too early to tell yet. He could eventually achieve the level of a Lewis or a Harrison or he could be a complete failure.

What about the holding and hitting?

Decent jab, fast hands and a good 1 2 puncher. Not a bad start against an 8-0 fighter. I can see a fight between him and Hughie down the road also.

The connection is that they are both bangers who gas easily. Who knows price may eclipse Bruno and win a title at the 3rd attempt instead of 4th. We don't know but I do Hope Joshua doesn't turn out like either of them

If you listen to Earnie Shavers blather on about how he fought he admits he fought TENSE. Bruno fought tense, Price fights a little less tense I actually think he can be fixed. Joshua looked tense in that fight, but it was a big stage, decent opponent in front of him...he had every right to be a bit stiff in there, he needs to get used to the bright lights though because they'll be on him for a while. If he learns to relax a bit then he won't have the problems Shavers, Bruno, and Price have had. Loosen up, every single shot doesn't have to be a KO, just learn to touch your opponent up and you'll be better off, let the KO come to you.
