I didn't see this thread earlier and it just caught my attention because of angry old Semin there. Greenbeanz is right and these individuals should be released. What exactly is your objection to that?

My objection is that by logic they should make peace green in their homelands like US oe UK or whatever first, then go bug mother Russia.

I do know where you live, UK or US, but something tells me if I enter the territory of these countries on a boat and start bugging some oil rig, they won't lock me up, they will just kill me straight away. So Russia is very mercifull to these people

Generally speaking I don't think Britain nor America are known for killing members of Greenpeace. Now if we are talking illegal kidnapping, overseas assassination of alleged baddies, droning, wantonly killing people in random countries etc, then America in particular is a mastermind. However, Greenpeace activists seldom get murdered. You certainly don't lock them up as pirates when they are no such thing. Greenpeace is a resistance to the tyranny of oil and environmental catastrophe and on that basis should not be locked up as if they were terrorists (as if the term means anything anymore). If any nation is guilty of actually slaughtering activists on ships then Israel wins that rather unseemly award. The UK and America generally stick to killing poor Arabs rather than their own conscientious activists.

To be fair chief , having read most of your posts , if I was running the show , you wouldn't even need to be bugging an oil rig in a boat for us to to shoot you , we would come and find you to do it.
