It's silly talk. He has no intention of coming back and the number quoted says as much. It would be easier to get a US government contract as a hitman than get a comeback fight for a 100 million dollars.

This is like Collins trying to drag Jones Jr in to a fight. Hes seen a major decline and wants to try and take advantage but only because he hasnt been punched for a few years himself, he suddenly thinks hes going to be a better fighter at near 50! Lewis might have had a chance in an imediate rematch but he didnt want it back then. Maybe like Haye he thinks he can do a Sanders on Wlad but just like Haye, Lewis did get caught and wasnt hard to hurt and would fight a very cautious fight like he did against Holyfield and to a degree against Tyson where Steward had to scream at him to try and finish Tyson. Lewis has recently criticised Wlad for not trying to finish Povetkin but for the reason iv just stated hes full of shit and has a short memory.

They've got quote marks round the words so he did say it. Even the Daily Mail wouldn't use quote marks if they didn't have a quote. If you read the rest of the story Lewis is looking for heavyweights he can train to become world champion so he probably said it to get publicity for his new venture.
