Thing is Christians take that line "if you confess me to men I will confess you to the Father thing way too far" ( I mean to say what about confessing him to women too)!!!
So they do it every chance they get what ever the subject matter, they are waiting there for the moment to turn the subject into a why they must preach to you.
Similar to cold call door knocking online.
Still the other week I have to hand it to the Mormons (Church of latter day saints ) they walk their talk.
They were the only group around here and one I have nothing to do with what so ever, who brought cooked food around to my doorstep and left it there, just cause they heard what happened through someone else. They went right up in my estimation, now on par with the Salvation Army. There are some great people out there in every area you can imagine.
I hear you, I also have respect for the Mormons and the Jehovas. Granted they can be annoying coming to the door and what not but they are trying to do the right thing. That book of Mormon is a tough read. I am neither a Jehovah's or a Mormon but many of them have been sincere in the discussions I have had with them
True mate, whatever different groups get up to ,most are trying their best for you and believe that they have to try to help us, so we have to let it go even when they do get annoying tapping on the door during a Satanic ritual or what not.
The Salvos are the best in my mind though they really get their hands dirty they are in and out of jails on the streets feeding the poor sheltering the young and vulnerable and they do it even when it leans on their other rules .
We had a couple of young kids out on the street very late one night here the girl underage by a few months the boyfriend just over so the government wouldnt help them out during the day and wanted them parted. The Salvos stepped in at about 9pm that night after i called them and put the two of them up in a motel for a night to keep them from sleeping out in a park and her being at risk cause there was no way young bloke couldnt of protected her on his own.

Of course I have not watched Top Gun. I am neither American or Gay. I am glad you enjoyed it though, it explains your vapid, shallow, cold and loveless outlook on life. Jews are no different to Gentiles, you can get stupid Jews and clever Gentiles just as in the reverse of our own situation.
Gay? This sweaty volleyball scene to the tune of Kenny Loggins "Playing w/the Boys" is the epitome of masculinity
But seriously, you've never seen this movie?
Most bad government has grown out of too much government. Thomas Jefferson
Gay interpretation of top gun has certain point, but things are much easier:
During a time period A (cold war peace), when everybody do activity 1 (bars, girls, patrols), there is a guy who wants to do 2 (actual fighter pilot), which is more suitable for time period B (actual war). Then they set up a competition so sharpen the skills = top gun school. Maverick comes in and in the first day beats the crap out of everybody by breaking 2 rules of engagement. Iceman got upset, because he sees and everybody sees Maverick is better. So, Iceman comes up with the "safety game": "I do not like you, because you are dangerous. Every time you go up in the air, you are unsafe. Below hard deck does not count", while in reality he simply envies Maverick and does not want to loose his alpha male position. Since, Maverick has confidence problem at that time, it starts affecting him mentally, he breaks under pressure.
Iceman wins the top gun trophy, on the paper he is a better pilot. Since it is Hollywood, there is a happy ending: Maverick somehow did not quit and got an opportunity to show in real combat who is the better pilot. At the end of the movie, it is clear who is "right" and who is the real world top gun. Iceman acknowledges this saying: "You are still dangerous. You can be my wingman anytime "
The moral of the movie:
1. only God can judge you, no men can judge you
2. at the end of the day, people do not care, they persue their selfish goals only
3. never let others break you for who you are
4. got nothing to prove, got nobody to impress
5. no matter what, do not doubt that "I am the best, forget the rest"
