MARQUEZ PPV FIGHT CARD:Timothy Bradley (30-0; 12 KO) vs. Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1; 40 KO) - Welterweight (147 lbs)Orlando Cruz (20-2-1; 10 KO) vs. Orlando Salido (39-12-2; 27 KO) - Featherweight (126 lbs)Vasyl Lomachenko (Debut) vs. Jose Luiz Ramirez (24-2-2; 15 KO) - Featherweight (126 lbs)Seanie Monaghan (18-0; 11 KO) vs. Anthony Caputo-Smith (14-1; 10 KO) - Light Heavyweight (175 lbs)
Bradley's head wasn't an issue in his last fight. It will be this time. Bradley and his head by decision over Marquez and his testosterone.
Think the fight will go over 11 1/2 rounds? thats the bet I'm looking at.
Weigh In
Bradley 146
Marquez 144½
Salido 126
Cruz 125
Lomachenko 125
Ramirez 126½ (half-pound over the limit)
Monaghan 174
Caputo 175.6
This fight can end tragically if the third man in the ring is by any means incompetent.
Seriously... Juan Manuel is likely to kill Bradley with one devastating shot, what with Timothy's tendency to fearlessly engage toe-to-toe despite tremendous odds strategically.
The only time disparity in power atop the ring caused me quite a concern as this one was in the days of the young Thomas Hearns campaigning in the lower weights and equally, in the days when Iron Mike was doing a splendid job at demolishing the string of patsies lined up fighting him early on in his career.
This one, if the pre-Heredia JMM shows up it'll be a much competitive fight and could very well be a highly entertaining one, otherwise it will be a mugging. in the absence of the pee-juice energy drink Marquez normally takes pre-Heredia and instead boosted with the Angel brand health drink, let's just all pray for the health and safety of "the Desert Storm"... he'll surely be in dire need of it!
JMM, KO inside 7!
JMM beats Bradley handily in this one. I just hope it doesn't turn into an ugly fight.
I'm not too fond of Bradley's fighting style.
Good fight and hard to call. I'd pick Bradley to outbox him on the face if it but Marquez has transformed into a roided up looking monster and if Bradley tries to trade with his own featherfisted combos then Hel end up sparked on the canvas.
If he's learnt from the Provodnokov fight though he will bid sensibly and make it easier for himself. He did a better job on case than Jmm. The Mexican had the most emphatic win over papa but has a draw and 2 losses to him aswel. He was also down 5 times in those 4 fights so they match up pretty well
I'm gonna go for Bradley on points but if it turns into a war there's only 1 winner
This is a fight I have been waiting for quite a while now. I love both fighters and have a lot of respect for what they have both achieved. Marquez is 40 and at WW, those two things sounds really strange together. The Pac fight was a while back now and I just think that if Bradley can stick and move and force Marquez to be the stalker, then Marquez is going to end up in a hole. Manny was always there to be hit, his defense was his attack. Bradley has more strings and doesn't need to be there in front of Marquez, he can choose to be slicker and I think he will fight very slick. The Provodnikov might have given him concussion, but it has definitely woken him up a bit. He knows the Pac fight, but he also knows that Marquez cuts up easily too.
Bradley will likely try to box and I think all that youth and energy will be the difference. Marquez hasn't fought in ages now and might end up looking very old.
Besides the main event and Orlando vs Rainbow Bright; This is a crappy ppv card.
Marquez by TKO.
Bradley relies on his speed and I don't believe he is faster than JMM. Marquez is def the smarter in ring technician.
I put down a little bit on Marquez by TKO. Cmoooon gas money!
If marquez wins he should retire...or fight rios if he beats pac.
I think Marquez wins this one inside the distance for sure, Bradley can never decide where he wants to fight and he'll get caught coming in or backing up. Looking forward to seeing Lomchenko and what he looks like, really tough debut on paper.
