Looks neat, but would perfer something else.
Like what... What are some other coupes out there in between $40,000-$70,000
Well, i'm not sayin' it's a bad car. I would choose something like a mercedez benz, E63 AMG or Porsche, something like that. Not a huge fan of beamers that may be my reason
Or my dream is to build a gt40 on my own. buying a kit car and just do it the way i want it. and then i know it will be proper done as well. i think that could be possible for less then 70 large ones
Gt40 hauls ass.. Are you more of a muscle car guy? As a kit car, what about a Lotus Elise..

I was also thinking of getting a 99 NSX and building off that with new parts shipped from Japan..

    One of these
I think lotus would be to small for me even tho i'm not that big. just to short and not manly enough
Not really a muscle car fan, but sure i like them old 60-70s americans muscle but would perfer something else. I know a gt40 chassi laying around for a few grand, would love to buy it as it cheap and perfect condition and hard to find. but just dont have teh time for it at the moment. Putting all my money into a house now.
But the gt40 im thinking matteblack, something like this, Some day

Well it depends, could drive anything as long as i have it my way. I tuned a dodge magnum a few years ago, ended up in magazines and stuff!

NSX is really nice! If you looking for bodes, chassis, look in england, they are really big at kit cars and basically have every chassi for it, as you want it in Fiberglas, as an old corvette sayin' Wipe your ass in Fiberglass

    The McLaren P1.

I would like fellow forum members to contribute to a fund to enable me to buy one of these.

I never realised that this thread was for practical cars only, I thought it was for general car talk.

If you want a practical car that doesn't cost a ludicrous amount of money, you want none other than the Vauxhall VXR8 GTS.

    It's a 6.2 V8 with a supercharger & packs 576bhp & it costs way less than a Mercedes E63 AMG, BMW M5 or Audi RS6 with which it competes.

Quality isnt the same as benz on bmw! reckon that car is the same as Holden (aussie car) Or Pontiac as what em called in America who's not making them anymore. Same quality as a mustang, challenger, camaro. which you could get for 20 large ones.

OK, I'm beginning to feel like Audley Harrison without the million pound paydays for throwing one jab in 3 rounds before getting sparked.

It seems as if German, practical & not astronomically expensive (depends who you ask) are the only ones invited, so what about the Porsche Panamera GTS?

It's not as powerful as the M5, the various 63 AMGs or the RS6, but it's fast enough & costs roughly the same.

There's also the Panamera Turbo which is brutally fast, but the price might be an issue.

    Agreed.

    I love the Porsche Panamera.

If I could afford it & I could only have 1 car, it would be a Porsche Panamera Turbo.

You can carry the family & their luggage; keep up with the fastest cars, plus it's perfect for city, motorway or track driving.

It's not the best looking car, but to be honest, I don't like my cars to be too pretty as they can come across as too effeminate if they're too pretty.

I am beginning to like Audi’s over BMW and Mercedes, the Audi A5 is beautiful looking motor, the A7 is a top luxury car, Q7 is a fantastic family car with 7 seats. If I was a billionaire I would get me some of those.

Audi is on top when it comes to interior but performance wise they can't compete with BMW.. My buddy has a 10' RS5 and he can't even keep up with a bone stock M3..

In terms of looks, Audi are extremely sexy but they could do more with it under the hood..

BMW are for posers, Merc for flash gits and Audi for the sophisticated.
