Well, that was sensible. Cracking fight and well done Provodnikov. He always looks a bit slow and limited to me, but then he starts to dent the opponent and it is seldom just a scratch.

Alvarado came into the fight a middleweight and spent most of it backing away from a at best welter. Provodnikov has definitely got some dig on him. Now he's going to get at least one good payday and HBO being in the reduced circumstances they are will probably give him two or three. Great entertainment. Hats off to Provodnikov.

I was rooting for Alvarado but realistically. Although I'm a bit bummed Prod seems like a truly decent guy. The west coast of the US must seem like heaven after eating all that raw fish and deer heart.

Well said. I thought Alvarado was on his way to outboxing Providnikov, but he is a heavy handed lil monster and wore Mike down.
