Storing Brown Sauce upside down?

Hi guys,

Not sure if any of you will have tried this, but as my bottle of sauce was getting close to the empty side, I turned it upside down so it would all be at the bottom for when I wanted some sauce. One of the weird side effects is that the sauce now tastes stronger, and has a thicker texture than when stored normally. It's an asda own brand one.

Any ideas why this would be the case?

I bet you're one of those heathen foreigners who think that pudding is purely a sweet dessert type dish. I doubt you even know they joys of dripping on toast!
