Brockton is completely right on this. Vitali is obviously the better of the two and because of his chin could probably compete with anyone. Wlad on the other hand is atrocious and he really does get away with blatant cheating. His most recent fight is an obvious case in point and it is the norm rather than the exception. He is not only boring, but a blatant cheat too. Wlad is the banker of boxing. He carries out heists, but just gets bigger bonuses as noone will make him follow the rules.

Oh I agree. He was more exciting a fighter when he got sparked out but the point is to not get sparked out. I agree with you that he has been coddled in multiple ways. Its almost like there is a rules shift whenever he fights in order to accommodate his style. His opponents must share a portion of the blame because they cant figure out a way in and then the grappling commences. Agree with everything you said though.

True, but surely before the fight this needs to be made into a serious issue. Margarito and the hand wraps became serious and so people became vocal. Likewise, fighters need to make this vocal and challenge what is a very obvious spoiling tactic. It's almost as though part of the contract is to say nothing against Wlad. It's been happening for a long time now.

Wlad isn't just a bum, he does what he does. But it shouldn't be a case of buying off a referee to have things go in your favour. As I said, it's like a banker who knows he will never pay the penalty. Take the millions and just keep on hugging.

Let me make it simple for you .....

Prime Tyson at 5ft 10 and 15 stone would hqve destroyed Wlad in 1 -2 rounds regardless of any 'hugging' tactics.
