Wlad is the hype job for the media. He was the younger of the two, plus the Olympian, which meant that marketers and promoters could get more "value" out of his career. Vitali is much more exciting than Wlad.

Man, if Vitali had not spent the first part of his adult career as a Kick-boxer, he would have been a much more storied fighter than Wlad.
