Give it a few years and you'll be hating Hearn just as much. He's not re-inventing the wheel here, he's just got a monopoly position at Sky.

And the UK elite so not a bad combo really , every fighter seems to like him too.

He's got the UK elite because he's got the Uk elite broadcaster. And fighters like him because he hasn't been doing it long enough to have fucked any of them over yet. Fans like him because he's perceived as putting on competitive cards. Let's give him time to get a track record and see what people think of him them.

Who cares as long as he keeps up the good work and if he pisses fighters off where they gonna go? Lol
He's a young promoter with a superb array of fighters who obviously isn't short of money and is a genuine fight fan ;-).
Kudos to him for that, I like the guy and he's a breath of fresh air imo.

What a load of shite. Matchrooms card are not competitive, he has judges in his pocket and as for his huge array of talent, to be fair its a pretty ordinary bunch. Burns has shown how great a champ he is in his last 2 fights, Bellew is going to be battered in his upcoming fight. Quigg looks as ordinary a world champ as they come, he aint gonna be put in with anyone decent. Looks like they are cashing in on Barker having his first defense in Germany, again a very ordinary champion.

They have some good prospects but thats all they are prospects. Stalker, Campbell, Joshua, Smith all show promise but unlikely any will be matched in a tough fight for a few years.

Fans seem to like him because of the constant interaction. He's always updating news on his fighters and inviting fans to ask him questions and stuff. Have you seen the iFilmLondon videos? He basically answers anything. Explains why his fighters are taking that particular path and what the goal is.

It's a lot easier to accept a percieved "poor" match when an explanation has been given (whether or not it's bollocks ) as to why it's happening.

Eddie might by be new to boxing but Matchroom and his old man aren't.

The ILondon stuff is really good ;-)

I reckon Barry Hearn still pulls the strings but seems to be working, i have no complaints about anything Matchroom are doing

Barry is still the guvnor without doubt.

I don't care about the promoter, I just want to see good fights regardless of whom makes them, however, these current Matchroom shows just look better than anything I can remember on Sky. The arenas never look half-empty.

For sure Sky are the biggest factor in their current success, but it's not surprising they gave the other promoters the elbow when you compare their shows with the current ones Matchroom are doing.

Thank fuck there are currently no more main events involving totally obscure Africans, that haven't got a prayer, but are sold as wrecking machines. That was the standard you'd get every week at one point.

Exactly mate ;-). Unlike Warren starting out, Hearn doesnt have to build an empire up to get cash so is in the position where he can deliver top end fights straight away.
I read somewhere a while ago that Eddie Hearn tries everything he can to not just deliver the best for his fighters but actually enjoys making fights that he personally wants to see , must he great being in his shoes. Id fucking love it ;-)
He is genuinely a huge fight fan and not suprising growing with a dad like his ;-).
