Wow. That was brutal and beautiful. That was the fight of the century.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I have to be honest, I l never liked this fight.... Well at least I'm greatly conflicted by it because I personally think Ali looked awful in this fight. I would have said pathetic had he not been saved by his tremendous ability to take punishment.

My god they actually stop clenching without needing the ref to get involved. Mr Klitschko are you watching this?
Excuse my spelling Hidden Content
It was the biggest event in boxing ever. It was incredible.

Not looked but if its the 3rd fight its brutal as it gets.
Someone could have died if that final round had been fought.
Ali collapsed straight after anyway.
Fights like that are rare where eneither man will break and we wont see that ever again.
Refs sometimes dive in so quick these days.
There is a more brutal fight in the off topic board I posted the other day.
2 pikeys going at it for 20 mins.
It is the first fight @smashup.
I watched the travellors fighting and that was brutal as you can get. The crap they came up afterwards was silly and required subtitles.

Frazier was trying to kill him. I was afraid.

caps required on this sentence, sorry guys: THERE NEVER WAS NOR WILL THERE EVER BE A HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHT LIKE FRAZIER-ALI ONE.
Well what puts it above all else to me was the fact that it was on the HIGHEST LEVEL.
Lets be honest, there are tons of guys who are willing to go out and bang and have the heart to die in the ring. There are a lot of tough mother fuckers out there. But having ELITE level skill AND a warrior's spirit is much rarer.
There have been fights (gatti/ward) that have been more exciting action wise, but they never had nearly the significance that ALi/Frazier did.
Amazing fight.
On a side note about those body shots Ali took, when he was examined by the doctors afterwards, they were amazed to find out that his hip joints were swollen. Swollen hip joints is something found mostly in automobile/plane crash victims.
Here is a few from that area of time that I enjoyed just as much really. I'd have more but I have not finished my first morning Tim Hortons yet.
