It depends what type of fan he is. I would guess the show in York Hall is the prizefighter. The standard of boxing at this wont be that high but is an entertaining night. Also, the fact that James Toney is fighting on it is a bonus. He is well past his best but used to be a top fighter so would be an experience to see him live.
Apart from that there isnt many great cards in England announced. There is a card in the excel arena on the 14th of December. Good few decent domestic fights on there and if you are from London there are quite a few London fighters on the bill so would be good. If hes a genuine boxing fan Id go with this ahead of the prizefighter which is for more casual fans.
The other option, depending on how much you were willing to spend, would be the Barker v Sturm fight in December in Germany. An english fighter fighting in Germany would be a great experience. Should be a close fight with Barker having a great chance to win. Ryanair fly straight to Stuttgart and could be cheap flights and sure hotel could be reasonably priced if the two of you wanted a weekend away.
Any of the above you will be able to get tickets from Matchroom Boxing : Home
