It really comes down to that, environment and raising as you the dominate one. Not overbearing to them, but equal approach in praising or correction. If you approach a breed like that unsure, erratic and hostile..you'll get that in return. I get newbies in who are fidgety and mistake being LOUD and forceful with leading or correction. Dog ain't listening to that, he's tucking his tail and putting up the defenses. Dogs read you just as much as you read tells or signs in them when working with them. I LOVE having aggressive pets come in and other than assisting in any way in saving a life..THE best feeling is turning a fear biter or basically "aggressive" dog into a ass wiggling ham by the end of the day. Every dog can bite, but when they get comfort-confidence and come around, it's absolutely f'kn awesome!

We get a few every week, some assclown with little man syndrome bringing in the Pitt. Massive collar...named "Tank" Tyson or Otto as examples. Rarely is there one unapproachable but you can never sleep on them. I had some whiffle Dick idiot ask about "tin snips and dry ice" half joking because we will not crop ears. It was all I could do to not wrap a trash can around his head. Animals pay for the idiocy and ignorance of man.

I don't have any experience owning a pitbull, but I know Rotties, Dobermen and German Shepherds are INCREDIBLY smart (all in the top 10 intelligence quotient for dogs) and they learn really fucking fast. But you need to take charge with them.

Cesar and a lot of other dog experts say that dogs really want to be lead. They don't want to be the pack leader, because that requires a lot of responsibility. But if they sense you're a pussy and a weak leader and lack the ability to show them obedience and train them, then they'll take the pack leader position and all of a sudden they're YOUR boss haha.

Some people aren't meant to own certain dogs.

People are irresponsible with there dogs,remember many people lack common sense,
and many people are just plain stupid, there are many breeds that are totally unsuitable
as family pets. I really don't trust any dog with children, because kids can torment and
be cruel to the dog, resulting in the child getting bittern.
This is not rocket science, as the owner your dog must understand YOU are the boss,
a friend of mine had a bitch, she was a nasty little twat it had bit him on 3 or 4 occasions,
then one day she bit me, needles to say that dog was sorry.
I told my friend to put the dog down, as it could not be trusted he did not, some time later
she badly bit his arm
He put the dog down,!!!!!!!!! she was a bad one but he could not see the fact, to many chances
in the end he new he had made a mistake.

Dogs can snap in the head too, some more than others some with age,some on the pecking order in the family too if they havent respect for one family member they place themselves above them, then you got trouble. Management and trust is a hard call sometimes.
