It happened to me once where I'd log into a site and get a thread I was looking at and that's what I did. For some reason it went to a thread even though I wanted the main page.
I find myself turfing my surf history about once a week or when I run spybot I end up with about 500 temp files and sometimes it interferes with performance and even viewing live events. I dont know if shit ends up on the registry or not but it bogs things down.
That would be my next advice. If you have a malware program on that gadget you might want to run it.

you have to dog the dog that dogged ya. it's probably a loop of inadvertent actions which you will not remember as you did it unwittingly. now to retrace the thing will be vexing. I suggest rejoining under a new alias, that will wipe out your user-specific settings.
