Damn! Are you guys ever going to give Rigo credit for winning that fight? The only thing I ever hear is that Nonito lost that fight.Donaire got used to knocking out smaller men and getting on the highlight reel. He got a false sense of security from it and started buying into all the hype. Fell in love with himself and believed his left hand was the shot that would get him out of all circumstances. My god Vic walked to his leftthe entire fight with his left hand low on many occasions taking away Donaires left and he barely attempted a straight right hand or right of any kind. So you had a southpaw asking for the right.Donaire didn't always have a strategy of just trying to land the left hook, but at some point in time, he became a guy who just looks for the big punch. It wasn't just in the Rigo fight either. He's done it before.
Back to the point, I'm not so sure Garcia beats him. How would Garcia handle someone faster and difficult to hit? At the same time, Garcia has such a nasty jab.
I'm not sure Garcia beats him either. I think he would based on what I have seen. Mickeys punch selection and short accurate crisp shots would be the difference. He's so compact to and also an excellent counter puncher. Timing beats speed.
I'm not a Rigo fan, but I think Donaire was doomed when he stepped through the ropes. Except got one flash KD, Nonito was never in that fight.
I would love to see Garcia vs Rigondeaux! One thing for sure, Rigo is not going to going to be in anything even remotely like a slugfest. I'm thinking tossup.
If Rigo was just a little more exciting he would be everyone's fav.
I am one of Rigo's biggest fans and gave him all kinds of credit after that schooling.
