Holmes.
Holmes first defeat was Tyson we all know he was jobbed twice against Spinks.
Thought ICB was back for a minute
Holmes just by one round Spoon really looked good that night and should've built on that and made a bit more of his career than he did.I know he won the belt by breaking all of Britain's hearts when he bludgeonded Bruno to defeat at wembley bhut I thought he had the talent to have a long reign. The Spoon that turned up against Bonecrusher Smith would've lost to anyone on that night he could be so up and down , inconsistent.
p.s. -Spoon had one of the best looping over the top right hands in the buisness![]()
I spoke to Tim a few months back about this fight as well as the Mercer fight. He said he outpointed him. He thought he had Holmes reeling in the ninth and from there on was on shaky ground. Sorry Tim I still see Larry beating you in that fight.
At the end of the day Witherspoon Has won.One unbelievable nice Guy with loads of good friends and will have the crack with anyone. But He lost the Fight![]()

I think if Tim had had better management he could have won it,but he didnt, Holmes
I had Spoon up 115-114, but I didn't have much of a problem with the decision. It was a close fight. What I had a problem with was the scorecard of 118-111 for Holmes.
Sort of like Leonard-Hagler. I thought Hagler won, and Leonard winning the fight didn't really bother me as it was a close fight, but Guerra's card of 118-110 for SRL?
Holmes got jobbed against Spinks in the rematch, but I thought the first fight was fair. I had both fights 9-6, for Spinks in fight #1 and then Holmes in the return.
witherspoon.
he should have avoided don king.
