I like Garcia, he is quality, balance, composure and skill but Rigo would win because Garcia would struggle to make the weight.

Regardless of the outcome it's an intriguing fight.

Does Garcia remind anyone of Marquez because he is a precise, counter-puncher?

The idea behind this thread is to find a mega-fight for Garcia. Around that weight, who can he face that would be a really big fight? Rigo, Donaire, Mares, are all guys coming up in weight, but are big names with the aforementioned guys being with Top Rank.

Dunno but that's a good question. Based on size and style you'd have to favor Garcia but I could see Rigo's accurate fast counter punching being an equalizer, as well as being more comfortable in his own skin. The KD from Martinez will be good for him and i liked his matter of fact response when talking about it. Garcia has made some solid strides but I'd loke to see him settle down, not only in approach just a hair but in weight. I can't see Hbo making this though after Rigo pants & spanked there previous big thing star wise but you never know.

Rigo's hands are fast...VERY fast. But he also has tremendous movement. I like Garcia a lot as well...great fluidity in his combos. But i think if Rigo is on top of his game...his great overall speed and skill would overcome Garcia's size/power advantage.

first of all Garcia has the better resume and a win over hand picked opponent master prom queen Donaire does not warrant catch weight adjustment leverage for Rigo. Why is HBO not on the Rigo train did he not adhere to tanking against Nonito Hotaire? Garcia just moved
up due to weight issue and was sick off his ass entering fight prior to Martinez.
