Yes he was fighting a novice but he does look to have a good work rate , not sure just how hard he hits until he steps up , but he has talent , I think he has more Variety than his dad.
I would like to see him tested , however it was a sudden and brutal finish.

He wasnt in full training and took the offer of a fight on the sho at one days notice which is probably why he paced himself when as a tv viewer we only got to see the last 2 rounds of the 6 roumder and the commentators mentioned that he had Borg hurt esrlir but wouldnt go in for the finish. Davies told him after the 5 th not to leave it in the hand of the judges.

He actually said he didnt want to take it but had to because hed only had 2 fights this year and blamed his promoter (Hennesey) Degale did the same, saying if Hennesey couldnt deliver the Periban fight hes leaving. I actually warmed a bit to Degale last night. I only again saw the last 2 rounds of his fight but he tries to put different punches together, has a good variety, didnt look knackered like he has done and I saw him take a couple of flush shots and have previously as well so reckon he has a good chin.

Eubank gets stick for not getting the knockouts but thats his 3 rd stoppage on the trott now and he now has a higher ko percentage than his dad didat the same amount of fights.

Iv said before that when he first started he was very tense and as his career moves forward he will relax a bit and loosen up and the ko's will come. Now is the time he needs to move up to British level. He already has vast experience in world class gyms sparring world class fighters and listening to world class trainers. Maybe they need to get him on some american or european shows because maybe British level snt the knd of pregression he needs. After a couple of tough Americans who could push him id deffinitely see him beating Saunders. He needs to have done a couple of scheduled 10 rounders first against those tough Americans to test the distance.

The one thing I would worry about Eubank Jr is the killer instinct. Maybe he wasnt trying to pace himself last night and just lacks that bit of spite that his dad had.

De Gale did well although he got hurt in round 6ish but seem to have found his second wind and won comfortably. I could see De Gale beat Biko in a world title fight and even Dirrell.

Eubank jnr has left Hennessy now and will fight under his own promotional banner , he needs more activity and to step up the competition level.

He will get all that. His old man knows whats needed. He pushed him hard as an amateur. dragging him all over the world for various tournaments and to train in the hardest gyms with the best trainers.

Eubank sr has more of an idea of what his own son needs than Hennesey or Eddie Hearn who some think he should move to. I dont.

He still needs to be brought along and learn more, do some 10 rounders get used to the distance.

They should aim for a Saunders match for the end of next year.

Eubank Snr is a lot of smoke and mirrors. If he really new so much he would be training or promoting him himself. He could do a lot worse than signing with Hearn. Whatever happens I hope somebody batters ten bells of krap out of him soon. The smug mugging for the camera is even worse than his old man and possibly the most irritating and arrogant in the entire history of boxing.

Green give the guy a break, it was something his dad did in one fight. Junior is a quality fighter and riding on his dads fame but he will create his own legacy in time.

    1. There is a K in Knew. I should know better I apologise.
    2. Eubank Jr still needs to cut the smarmy mugging out, he does it every fight and it is getting worse.
    3. Daddy needs to make his mind up what his role is and focus on it, or let other people do their job.
    4. I once shared a table on a train with Chris Senior and he was not at all arrogant.
    5. The monicle and jodphurs are over compensation for a lack of sophistication and cultural appreciation that is somewhat ruined when you drive around Brighton in a monster truck and believe someone can be hypnotized not to feel pain.

Senior was hungry to be a winner and his son can never truly have that hunger but he has the talent and just needs the experience to become a champion. His father is the best manager he will ever get.
