I don't know if haye v wlad is one of the biggest backfires of trash talk... it was a pretty tame fight and haye was never really close to being knocked out.. Wladimir easily owned the fight though but to be the most humilitating backfire would require a major ko I think...

ALthoguh wladimir completely won the comedy insult battle with his silent video after the fight.. :S

I see your point, particularly when you consider the other fights ended in knockouts (well... except Ali-Frazier and MAB-Naseem). But when you look at the extent of the Haye pre-fight talk versus his performance that night..... the gap between the two is immense.
