Wlads last fight was so much worse than any Ward affair imo, they aren't even close to the same thing to watch. Just because Ward may use a greater array of borderline tactics doesn't mean he is dirtier than Wlad was in there, who was fouling every single time he could. Perhaps if the ref hadn't done anything it could have gotten close, but that wasn't the case.

Yeah I don't think you can even compare Andre's fight last night to the Wlad debacle.

You cannot with a straight face compare what Wlad did to Ward lastnight. The entire trio was in unison calling Wlad..Jones and Kellerman were watching different fights lastnight. Ward merely in the ring lastnight was enough to bring out the detracters..how it unfolded seems secondary to many if you ask me.

Wlad managed to knock down an opponent who had never been down before and who had been an Olympic Gold Medal winner. Wlad's opponent was better that Rodriguez (although some people won't admit it) and the scorecards were wider.

I'm not defending all the holding Wlad was doing against Povetkin, it was painful to watch. But Ward clinches like that in all his fights, in fact is much dirtier with his headbutts, while Wlad's fight against Wach for example was clean and entertaining. And Wlad usually ends his fights with KOs.

Kellerman has plenty of loving praise for Andre Ward, but he is extremely reluctant to give the slightest recognition to any good European boxer. He used to discredit Calzaghe and Hatton the same way as he does Wladimir and Kovalev now.

But then Kellerman is a dick and you can't expect dick from a dick except that he will inevitably be a dick. Having said that Ward too is a dick and sometimes so is Wlad......the dick.

They are nowhere near the same. Ward may clinch alot too but there is a certain method to his offense and clinching just happens to be a part of it whereas Wlad just holds and stays there like a Ukranian whore.

Wlad just stays in a clinch in fear of getting hit and waits for the referee to break it up..

Ward gets his man in a clinch and follows it up with infighting..

Show some consistency then. Ward is certainly not as bad as Wlad was in his last grapple fest but he is certainly more blatant than Hatton. He is a far more naturally talented fighter than Hatton but his punch output in comparison is shocking. He is a border line baby who can't wait to spit his dummy out.
