Stupid winter.
Stupid winter.
I agree, we don't have it that cold yet, but sure snow outside. the coldest in sweden at the moment is -18 where i'm at it's only -5, time to travel a few months again!
-32 is insane.
The Bahamas. Full of Eskimos.
Late start to winter. At -40 the two temp measuring systems equal out. So -40 Celsius is -40 Fahrenheit.
Winters have gotten increasingly milder up here though. Maybe a week or two in the -40's. Add the wind and you get into the 50's but thats rare now. The kind of weather that when someone grabs your arm on the street to say hi, the sleeve breaks off your coat lol. The loss of daylight actually bugs me more then the cold.
I was going to start a thread and complain about how cold it is up here riding on my bike with my ears and nose getting cold. I think I will not bother now since your thread puts things in context. Bet I would freeze my bollocks on my bike.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
It is raining here this morning- rain just isn't supposed to happen in Montana in late November.
Serious artic weather.
There i was moaning in the uk about a 5c.
What type of boiler/central heating system do you use there?
A furnace in the front room?!
It's going to get down to to 55°F (almost 13°C) here tonight brrrr.
I really don't know how you guys handle that extreme cold. Do you stay inside all the time? That's how we deal with the summers out here.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Cannot imagine what that is like, way too icey. But, I love when the weather changes here and we dip into the 50's-30's...for about 1 month onlyI'm the guy who leaves the windows open then and doesn't own a jacket.
Yeah that is truly insane cold, I'd love to see it though. Furthest north I've ever been was Ft. St john in B.C, I worked up there for a few months. It got to almost -40 I think, but only with quite a wind chill. We camped on this frozen lake for 2 nights and took it all in, set up our tents in the middle and had to take our friend to the hospital with frostbite after a bunch of drinkingVisibility was almost nothing, we were lucky not to get hit my snowmobiles one night. If anyone has ever seen the movie "Dreamcatcher", it's right around where that was filmed.
