Yea, to me he just looks like a really tough and tenacious guy. Doubt he'll ever get to the top level just based on his physicality, I have no idea how good Tor Hamer is though.

I like the guy, good hands. He's a notch up in technique compared to Chris at same point. Tor looked half arsed and was broken up by Glazkov last.

He puts his punches together pretty good, but he doesn't get out of the way of anything. Somebody needs to teach him some defense because this guy was hitting him a lot for two rounds. Now, Hamer can't punch, not even a little, but that's no reason to let him hit you.

He has a nice jab which he neglected after hurting Hamer in first. He sticks on it, it chnges everything there

Physiques can be deceiving and we cant always judge a fighter off their looks. Ruiz is one of the quickest HWs out there today so that blubber isnt affecting him..

Arreola is on that boat as well. Even when he was fat years ago, he still had good stamina..

I first saw andy ruiz live at the home depot center and everbody around me was in awe by how quick this fat guy was..lol

Well, he can't move out of the punches as much because he is fat. For good movement you need a good waistline and good hip movement. Ruiz is just too fat to get out of the way... but he has good pop and great speed and a decent chin. He also works the inside better than anyone I have seen in a long while-- partly because he is fat and out of shape in the midsection and he is forced to stay in the pocket and trade.

Ruiz can use a bit more movement. But, it's not his gameplan and he wins without it. So...
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

I might be premature in saying this, but to me Ruiz seems like a poor man's Arreola. I don't buy him as the next big HW sensation.
