was really nervous watching him. back then i dont care if he gets hit i just wanted a brawl. but since the marquez great KO its different for me.

i kinda like the new pacquiao, well he is still the same but is now very cautious. the long break did him good and was able to be active all thru out.

i know rios is tailor made for pac and i knew he will lose to pac. i was still glued watching cause i want to see if pac became permanently damage but that jmm KO.

I guess people here talking on the demise of Manny may not have been accurate. Granted Rios isn't top tier but I didn't expect Manny to look as good as he did, I expected him to win I just didn't expect that domination.

Very pedestrian fight actually. Entertaining, but far from a classic.
Quite workmanlike for a Pacquiao fight actually.

Pacquiao is clearly not as fast as he once was, Rios is really slow.
    Tough guy.
Excellent cardio on both of them. Machines.

Apparently the Rios fight plan was to go, get beat up, then hope the check is good. Garcia stole $400K from Rios, he didn't do his job. What was the plan? He couldn't counter with his hands in front of his face and never once made an aggressive move to turn it into the type of fight he needed if he was going to win. Have they given up on Rios as a fighter, cashed it in, or is there no one in his camp boxing smart enough to make him competitive in that fight?
You fight Pac and you have to take away that move to the right- marquez is savvy enough to draw him in and counter and play it that way, to offset his speed, most aren't. Rios needed to make it a fight and to do that he needed to take away that escape route. But he never once made a strong move with his feet to keep Pac in front of him. When Pac goes to his left, he doesn't like to punch (though he will when he realizes that you are just going to put your hands in front of your face and let him), he goes that way then spins back out to his right.
You have to step up with your left foot and throw the left hook, block that escape route and keep him lined up for the right hand. Early on when Rios pushed him to the ropes and Pac grabbed, they just accepted that as ok; his corner should have told him to throw Pac on the floor and spit at him. Let him know that he has to fight you. his only chance was to make it a fight and Rios didn't come to fight.

I didn't think Max was out of line in the interview.

If anything I thought Rios was being a little asshole trying to bully Kellerman, who should have just ended the interview right there.

The problem with letting punks like Rios go the distance is that they will then turn around and immediately bad mouth you and say they were never hurt and all this nonsense.

Pacquaio should have finished the little motherfucker off when he had the chance.

Rios is full of shit, in another thread someone posted the post-fight interview where Rios said he was afraid to really open up because he probably would have gotten knocked out.

Is he talking about himself or Manny?
