Its a pretty varied accent. You do get some 'James Bond' types but nowadays they definitely aren't the norm. You also got the cockney (London) accent and close relations to it, 'cor blimey guv'nor' (if that makes any sense to you!) and all that. There are dozens of regional accents too which are all really different, so much so that some southerners have difficulty understanding a Geordie (someone from Newcastle). Hmm, this is too hard to give a good explanation in the written word, I will find some vids later.
Personally, despite being born up north, I have a pretty neutral accent, like a much less posh James Bond, haha.
