Bruce Lee Vs Manny Pacquiao

Lee COULD beat Manny, he has all the tools in a street fight where as Manny is professional in only punching (although I'm sure he'd be proficient at whatever goes as well).

Thing is the smart money I think would have to be on Pacquiao regardless because Manny is a professional fighter and Bruce Lee was not. Neither has Bruce had the quantity and the quality of sparring that Manny has. And in Bruce Lee's own words, most often than not, it's the person who can punch better that will usually win the fight. In fact his whole system was based around punching first concepts.

Look at kick boxing and muay thai, those fights usually end on a straight right punch. And of all the combat sports and martial arts it is the boxers that have the fastest reflexes of all because they deal in punches which are closer range and faster than kicks and grabs so they have to have them!

Manny UD or by beat down on the street.. If he is shrewd enough to not let Lee kick him somewhere soft.

One of the biggest misconceptions people have about Bruce Lee is that he was just another action star, like Jackie Chan or Jet Li. Another guy who had incredible athleticism, but was only tough in front of a camera.

Bruce was a martial artist who saw film as a way to spread his philosophies of fighting. Bruce Lee had a lot of fighting experience in tournements/challenge matches, on the street, and in sparring. And if he wasn't fighting, he was training. And if he wasn't training, he was think about fighting.

His ideas were really ground breaking. In a time where idiots where squabbling about which style was the best (karate, kung fu, boxing, judo, ect), he said "no, you're all stupid. It's about the individual. You should train EVERYTHING and be well rounded. Be adaptable like water, take the techniques that work and use them, if it doesn't work, forget it."

Which was genius, because 30 years after his death his theories were proven by the evolution of MMA, where to survive you had to be able to strike, wrestle, and grapple.

If you're a fight fan, you have to give it up to Bruce.
