... Sakio Bika lost that belt last night. He isn't underrated, Bika is. He is what he is- and got what he got- exposed by a moderately skilled fighter.

i think dirrell lost.
I scored it 115-111 for Sakio Bika.
He deserved a win, not a draw.
Dirrell wasn't throwing enough and was backing off for much of the fight.
Very dissapointed as a fan of dirrell...
Im not the one to believe in the notion of " the challenger has to take the title from the champ " but at the same time, bika has payed his dues and worked years to earn that title and I dont think dirrell did enough to take that belt away from him...
I like bika and found this new respect for him after seeing his wife... the guy isnt shallow thats for dam sure lol..
I don't know about "robbed", but I will say this:
Had I been judging the fight and maybe penciled in the last round for Dirrell, and he pulled that last 10 seconds shit where he raised his arms and ran away with his back turned...... I would've promptly erased the score and gave the round to Bika, hands down.
Dirrell robbed every educator he's ever had when he said the only part he lost was when he turned his back and celebrated for 10 seconds at end. That is denial and delusion. He got away from what was working after having Bika down and out on his feet and it came back to bite him on his ass. He was fortunate with a draw.
Dirrell threw the fight away!
Laying on the ropes where Bika could use him as a punching bag.
Letting Bika outwork him in several rounds. He was fighting Bika at the perfect time, but was unwilling to leave it all in the ring. I hope it haunts him late at night, he won't get a perfect chance like that again.
Letting Bika off the hook, he had Bika hurt bad once and in trouble several times but was again unwilling to let it all hang out. I would have rather seen him punch himself out than back off and so would the judges.
This was the worst mistake, turning his back, raising this arms and actually walking away from his opponent during the last ten seconds of the last round in a championship fight. He showed a lack of respect for Bika, boxing, the judges and the fans, in my opinion.
Anthony Dirrell was not ROBBED! Anthony Dirrell cut his own throat. He was catching Bika at the perfect time, had the fight won, could have had the belt in a glass case at the gym, but his natural inclination to do as little as possible, plus his belief that he is special and does not have to give 100% at all times, allowed him to cut his own throat.
Everyone makes mistakes, but that one was a real whopper!
i scored it a draw and could see it going either way so the decision was alright. if somebody deserved to win though it was bika. i thought he was better overall. also, he should have won on my scorecard if the ref wouldnt have taken away the point for the low blow. he never warned bika about the low blow before that and dirrell was putting on an act. it went a little low but not as low as dirrell acted.
I had Dirrell winning it because I enjoyed his clean, effective punching. Still, he's a whining, complaining little bitch like his brother. I don't get why they fight that way, they're clearly effective fighters but pulling shit like that at the end makes it difficult to route for them.
So far, including myself, 80% in this thread think Bika won
Dirrell could have tried doing more but he would have tired and wouldnt have had the same bursts of success. Bika is better as you know even if you hurt him hes still capable of recuperating fast and smashing you up. Dirrell laid on the ropes because Bika took him there and kept him there. Dirll likes to think of himself as a puncher. He does have power but if he really felt he could have stepped up and stopped Bika he would have tried. Maybe he did try and we didnt notice because Bika made Dirrell ineffective.![]()
Sir, maybe I am wrong about Anthony, maybe he did try more than I noticed. Let me think.
Hell no, nah, you're joking, bullshit, very funny, are you serious, were we watching the same fight, you are out of you mind and FUCK NO I'm not wrong!
Ross, this fight was for the WBC super middleweight championship! A first step toward real fame and fortune, the pot at the end of the rainbow that makes all the sparring, time in the gym, being yelled at by a trainer, watching your friends going out, no cake and ice cream, no pasta, no pizza, no chasing the ladies worth it! WAS, IS or COULD there ever be a better time to leave every ounce of what you have in the ring? The answer is no.
One more question. What made Anthony think he could ever, ever, ever predict what judges are going to do? Apparently he doesn't watch the fights. Apparently his trainer has never talked to him about judging or judges. Apparently he has never sat around the gym, shooting the breeze about great fights, great fighters, great KOs, bad decisions and bad judges.
You thought Dirrell won a close fight, and until the last round I thought it was a close fight, plenty of fans thought Bika won a close fight. All I'm saying is that Dirrell could have and should have done more, plus his behavior in the last round was the last straw.
Dirrell has a better skill set, but Bika is mentally stronger and that won him the fight.
Dirrell only has himself to blame. He needed to keep using that jab over the second half & kept going to the ropes. He'll learn from this experience.![]()
I'm no real advocate of Dirrell, but he clearly did try. I think fatigue had alot to do with it. He'd never even been 10 rounds, let alone 12 but he buzzed and hurt Bika on multiple occasions. The thing that Bika is good at is constant pressure and that couple with the multiple body shots were likely the reason Dirrell didn't go in for the kill. More 12 round experience of how to pace himself over the distance would have helped, and I think he could and would have stopped him. Bika just didn't see that right hand coming and I think that was what was hurting him rather than the power. He was just so fast. I thought Dirrell nicked the fight, but I didn't think a draw or a close win either way could be considered a robbery.
I remember thinking at the halfway stage that we could have another decent Super-Middleweight contender for Andre Ward to fight, but the 2nd half of the fight showed he needs alot more experience & heart at this level.
I gave it to Bika by one point even after the point deduction. He probably should have got another point taken from him in the last so that would have cost him. What muppet is calling this a robbery it was a very close fight. Fucking boxing fans, as soon as they score something slightly different they shout robbery. Get a grip.
