Considering both Ibragimov and Haye did quite well against Wladimir in reality, I doubt they retired out of fear. Would Wladimir have granted them an immediate rematch, I'm sure they'd have accepted. Hell Haye is basically only interested in fighting a Klitschko.

Name an old time boxer who was smart enough to retire when they could not see much light at the end of the tunnel as they did... I bet you can't! They mostly end up as punch bags! And that's a sad story that nobody wants to see happen, especially to a former legend.
