Wow lol. If floyd takes the riddick bowe route, he's gonna look like a real bitch especially since he loves the gold and green WBC belt so much. Thrre is just no excuse if he were to dump it..
He couldn't surely! That would completely destroy his legacy and he knows it. Riddick was not the brightest crayon in the box and I don't think he even really knew the ramifications of what he was doing. I think Floyd will sum it up and reach the conclusion that he really should fight someone the public perceives as somewhat close to his own level.
Floyd SD Pac (it should be UD but some idiot will score heavily for Pac Mans flurries when a lot of punches don't really connect.)

Won't change a thing. Floyd could come out smelling of roses if he lets this go to purse bid. He'll get the cut he wants and Manny will walk away.
There's an old adage that says if you avoid a fight that is unnecessary and can still come up tops then well done. But if you avoid a fight that you HAD to fight then you are a coward and shame on you.
That's where Floyd would be at with Manny.

Try to get a grip for a change. People have been slipping mandatory fights since boxings grappling days. Of course they were not called mandatory until the 70's but it started as early as with that racist pig John L Sullivan refusing to fight Aussie Peter Jackson citing the colour barrier. At the turn of the century it was in style to avoid Langford. Later in the century Tex Rickard(and early version of Bob Arum) would steer Dempsey clear of Harry Wills fearing another Johnson type rein.
This fight is nothing like those few examples. Floyd is not scared of Manny. That notion is utterly ridiculous. This fight has nothing to do with avoidance in the way you would like the world to believe. Its a game of poker which is lame and sad but not a duck. And it might be best to wait to see what Floyd does. Btw Manny has no business being the mandatory. Lesson here is that in many cases you pay for a ranking, you dont have to earn it. Huge difference. If boxing was fair Floyd would be ranked in the top 5 of the other three pimp tin pots but he's not ranked in them at all. Says much about these "rankings" Best boxer in the world and in the welter division is not ranked because he didn't pay for their administration/corner fee's. What a joke.
The alphabet soup rankings don't mean $#!t...
This is irrelevant. Floyd wins and vacates belts at will, including the WBC WW title, which he's won 4 times already. He doesn't give two shits about a title belt or a mandatory challenger.
Whether you like Floyd or you hate him, you have to face facts: not only does he hold all the cards, he owns the casino. Nobody is in any position to muscle him into doing anything.
Back in 2010 when consensus was split over who was the #1 fighter in the world, things were a bit different. Then JMM 4 happened
It'll be just a few years down the line where he'll be back having promoters dictating to him what they'll give him with no more caving in to demands from Floyd. It'll be small purses against lower level opponents that'll be beating him too, making a name for themselves on him... and getting the higher money than him as well. Unfortunately, that's the way she goes in boxing.
The many organizations , sprinkled with PAC and Money cherry picking and catch weight fixing has a melody ..... Who gives a f$&k about any of the belts boxing is already in the shits ... The WBC is the biggest jester of the bunch
Virtually since it's inception the WBC has been the most prestigious belt imo.
Anyway Bradlee that is not true. Floyd wont be around long enough to be an underpaid old warrior guided by promoters. He will probably have 1 more fight after his contract runs out and retire a nice round 50-0 topping Marciano's record. That makes 5 more fights in total- no punch bag business for Floyd!
