I've gotten to the point where I don 't really like or dislike Mora. He's a solid fighter but not elite. And he loves the fact that all these people hate him, because they're paying attention. Look at how much attention a guy who's what 19-0 versus pretty limited opposition is getting, the act works.

Ishe's pretty good but I don't pay too much attention too five round fights, and we have no idea what really happened in those fights except for the Manfredo rematch where he didn't exactly look like a world beater. Other than those two there's nobody worth speaking of. Can you honestly say that the amount of attention he gets corresponds to what he's actually done?

I don't know. There are fighters and prospects that have done less and get more credence. Such as the 2004 Olympians

Have any other prospect with 16 fights fought for a million dollars yet?

There are large amount of elite fighters who don't get talked about nearly as much as Mora, but I'm not really holding that against him. If I had the chance to fight for a million dollars I would too, I don't like the contender but its mainly just cause they don't really show fights. All I was saying is I doubt that he even cares if a lot of people hate him, cause that means that people are paying attention. And I'm not undecided about whether what he's done corresponds to the amount of attention he gets, IMO it clearly doesn't. I'm really not even arguing any kind of point about him, except that he gets more attention than he deserves but that's not really a reason to hate him, he's a reasonably entertaining fighter, I just don't think he's elite.

You have very strong points. But mine is that fighters today are doing less then Mora and getting more exposure then he has.

Point is, Mora has never fought on HBO or Showtime has he?

No he hasn't but he has gotten a lot of exposure on ESPN

Hey he worked it right and won it, I think Ishe Smith is a bit of a more naturally talented P4P fighter than Mora, I know he lost but we didn't really get to see it and Ishe's a naturally smaller guy, but Ishe fell off the face of the earth after the Contender. He's just now getting back into the mix.

I think one guy who you could make a case got onto HBO too easily was Paul Williams, he fought practically nobody before the Matthysse fight on BAD, Terrence Cauthen is about it. Taylor's the posterboy for it, he got a HBO date in like his 16th fight against a nobody without fighting anybody before that. Whether he's won or not in his last three fights, he hasn't embarrassed himself and he's proved he belongs, but still early in his career he was the definition of being overhyped.

But I can think of a lot of guys, some even champions, guys like Guzman, Vazquez, Collazo, Rivera, Bell, Guillermo Jones, that aren't talked about as much as Mora. Is a guy like even Glen Johnson talked about as much as Mora? And that's not including European or Asian fighters. What if he wins a championship? It would actually probably be good for boxing, cause he'd get a ton of attention from people whether they loved him or hated him.
