Pulev deserves his place as number one contender, but he'll be no problem for Wlad. Personally I think Fury was an idiot for not fighting him, theres a large chance he would of won and been mandatory for the titles in the process.
Excuse my spelling Hidden Content
If you're looking for styles that will hurt/worry Wlad then you've got 2 real options. You've got 1. the Brewster/Purrity take a complete ass whupping but keep plodding forward guys and 2. the huge power swinging for the fences Corrie Sanders type.
Pulev ain't either one of those. Deontay Wilder COULD be the Corrie Sanders type, but who knows. Cris Arreola might be the Brewster type but it's doubtful. Stiverne might could be either type, again doubtful.
Then you've got the long shots, the guys who MIGHT be able to outpoint Wlad in a decision (highly unlikely) Jennings, Pulev.
But hey you guys keep hoping

Lmmfao pure comedy.. why would wlad feel the need to run from pulev? Pulev is dime a dozen, guy is slightly above ordinary and ive seen many HWs like him come and go in the past 10 years..
Tryin to make him out to be some dangerous fighter lol.. pulev is not elite
Oh swell, another idiot, maybe kingedwards and max powers are the same troll....

I'm no Wlad fan but he aint ducking Pulev. Wlad has 3 mandatories and values his belts. As he's WBA Super Champion he has longer for mandatories but beating Povetkin just took care of the WBA. There is no purse bid for the IBF yet but there is for the WBO so if he wants to keep his title he has to fight Leapai next. It isn't a duck, he'll probably fight Pulev after that. I'm sure Pulev has to fight an elimanator first.
Good side for Pulev- he has GREAT movement and won't be clenched as much as Wlad's other opponents. The man really is a Cobra- he moves with the grace and skill of a Welter.
Bad side for Pulev- he doesn't have much pop. Wlad won't let you get off more than a two shot combo on him because he clenches and hugs like a sock-puppet.
Pulev's only way to win is to win on points... move in and out and box... don't get on the ropes, stay in the middle of the ring and move around the ring and pop in and out with one's and two's. And, if you have a chance throw more than two shots- which I doubt, because I don't think Wlad will allow him to throw in addition to the lack of power Pulev has- then go for it and move away quickly.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!
