I've been thinking about this thread and I think the one boxer I'd like to set down with at a bar and shoot the shit with is Archie Moore. His fight with Yvon Durell is something that I'll remember to my dying breath,.
He was a terrific boxer puncher, tough as a nail, canny as hell and a real gentleman in and out of the ring. One of my boyhood heros.
Would love to talk to him about his life.
