Jesus was most certainly Jewish and also a Rabbi. A sage, a preacher, whatever. He was as real as Davinci or any Caesar. Historically the term Rabbi does not appear until about a 100 years after his death. But lots of things existed before they were named. He was most likely not fair skinned or blued eyed. Its up to the individual to believe or not believe that he was something other then a teacher.

One thing I am fairly confident in is that if he were here today at this time of year specifically, he would go absolute *&^%$ing ballistic. Not only do these followers get his birth date wrong but they change the message around completely and bring in some dude named Santa. If you think he went off his gord when he found a flea market in a synagogue, well you ain't seen nothing. The manger scene on school stages surrounded by giant candy canes and a reindeer/sleigh backdrop. These "Christians" who walk by the soup kitchen and the beggar on the street in order to pick up the 300 dollar foot gear for their 12 year old.

That is the almost surreal irony to this whole Christmas gig. Christ would look down on it the most. Its turned into a little bigger thing then a simple 9 pieces if silver.
